AQA 50th Anniversary Dinner

This year, the AQA celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner on the 5th October at Hagley Oval, in Christchurch.

The AQA celebrated 50 years on Saturday 5 October 2019, with a gala dinner hosting 80 people representing a wide range of the Industry.

The night included key features such as a presentation from Jim O’Brien, President of the Global Aggregates Information Network (GAIN), Interviews from our 5 Life Members, and the announcement of our Rock our Future Schools competition. You can view these below.

Aggregates are the most consumed bulk product in the world after water. New Zealand uses 9-10 tonnes of aggregate every year for each adult and child.

To build an average house, you need about 250 tonnes of aggregate - for use in concrete, asphalt, mortar and building products.
